While Patricia and Charles were in Washington, they also found time to check out some of the interesting buildings in the capital city of the United States. They went to the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument.
Through the years, when Patricia didn’t work, she enjoyed singing, reading, and writing. She also enjoyed petting her dogs, George, Cliff, and Brit. As Brit grew, Patricia enjoyed watching television with her pet. When time wasn’t spent with her dogs, Patricia was fond of watching the wildlife on her property.
After Patricia graduated from Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia, she taught school in Columbus, Georgia. During Patricia’s first year of teaching, she visited Washington, D.C. in March of 1968. The picture shows her standing outside one of the buildings in the capital city.
